The Trifecta of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Training: Why, What and How
The PSLA Pre-Conference Virtual Workshop will include three parts of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion training and discussions. Part I: Julia Torres and Jayne Downing will present WHY EDI needs to be a cornerstone for our school libraries, schools and education. Part II: WHAT - A distinguished panel of four authors will discuss their personal stories, writings and experiences. These include Shaun David Hutchinson, T. R. Simon, Christina Soontornvat, and Don Tate. Part III: Klem-Mari Cajigas and Linsey Patrcik-Wright present The HOW: Tackling Racism in Classic Children’s Literature.
