- When is the virtual conference?
- It takes place synchronously April 15-17, 2021
- How much is the 2021 conference?
- It is only $75 for members and $100 for non-members
- How do I access the virtual conference?
- Close to the opening of the conference, you will receive an email from Whova with a link to the web version of the conference which can be accessed on a computer. You will also receive instructions to access the conference using the Whova app.
- What technology or websites will I need to participate in the conference?
- You will need the Whova mobile app, and the ability to access whova.com. Please check to make sure you can access the website at school as it might be blocked by the filter. Ask your technology administrator to give you access if it is blocked.
- You will also need access to Zoom, but it is embeded within the Whova app. You may choose to open your zoom outside of the mobile or web app.
- How do I register for the conference?
- You can register by clicking this link, or by going to the home page of this website.
- How long will the conference be available for me to view?
- The conference will be available in Whova for 6 months after April 17, 2021 and Whova will remind you that your window of time is closing.
- Will the sessions be recorded?
- Barring any technical difficulties, yes, the sessions will be recorded and available within the Whova mobile or web app.
- Can I receive PA Act 48 credit for attending the virtual conference?
- Absolutely. Be sure to fill out the Act 48 form at the end of the conference and to have your PPID ready. Act 48 is due July 1, 2021.
- Can I receive more Act 48 credit for each session if I watch them after the conference is over?
- Again, barring any technical difficulties that may occur with any session, yes. You may receive multiple hours for completing multiple concurrent workshops per session, and as long as you fill out the Act 48 form. Act 48 is due July 1, 2021.
- Will the conference be interactive?
- Yes! There are polls, Q&A, session feedback, surveys, community meet-ups, chats, and more!
- Can I volunteer to help?
- Absolutely! We are in need of moderators to read scripted instructions at the beginning of each concurrent session and to help with Q&A. We promise it is an easy job and much appreciated. Sign up to be a moderator here!
- Is there a schedule of events?
- Yes, it is located in the schedule page of this website and linked here.
- Do I need to sign up for pre-conference in advance?
- No. All you need to do to attend pre-conference is to enter the session from the agenda on April 15, 2021 at 1:00 PM
- Do I need to sign up for sessions?
- No, there is no cap for session. Enter any session by clicking on it from the agenda page in the web or mobile app . Please remain in the session for its entirety if you want to receive Act 48 Credit.
- May I leave feedback for the presenters?
- Yes, session feedback is available in each concurrent session page. Simply click "rate" to leave feedback.
- Will I still receive my premium swag?
- You betcha! Junior Library Guild has us covered with superhero mop-top pens and 3-way USB ports. They will be mailed at the conclusion of the conference.
- Are there exhibitors? What does that look like?
- Yes, there is a virtual exhibitor hall and each exhibitor has their own booth "space." Here you can interact with exhibitors in synchronously by attending an in-booth presentation or joining their livestream. You can interact with them asynchronously by viewing their materials and videos, as well as entering any giveaways they might offer.
- Are there any contest, games, or giveaways in the exhibit hall?
- Absolutely! Play the PSLA Passport game by getting your passport stamped at all of the exhibitors. Completed passports will be placed in a raffle and winners will be randomly selected to win:

- Will we still have committee meetings?
- Yes, committee meetings will take after the Thursday night keynote in the community area of Whova.
- I am nervous, do you have any advice?
- We are all like-minded library advocates and we are all here to support one another. There will be some issues just as there is during an in-person event. Be kind and give grace . Above all, participate and enjoy your PSLA Conference experience.
